Japhlet Bire Attias - recording engineer
Japhlet Bire Attias is a multi instrumentalist and sound specialist. He has worked on multiple solo and group recordings with lead recording engineer Matt Zimmerman at Wild Sound Studios in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Japhlet lived in the Twin Cities area for many years during which time he took up first guitar and later the Chapman Stick, a 10-string tapping instrument played almost like a piano.  Japhlet's music is now a reflection of many soundscapes - everything from Yes, ELP and King Crimson, to Brazilian, French and Mexican music. Using the Stick, he presents a surreal and soothing concoction of Progressive, Latin, and Electronic Jazz.

After living and working in the Twin Cities Japhlet traveled to Europe for a time, relocating to Budapest, Hungary for over a year.   Presently he resides in Mexico City, Mexico where he works in operations for the New York Times.  Musically, he is involved with four musical projects for which he handles sound production.  He also continues to perform Chapman Stick solo in cafes, on the street, in theaters, private parties, and for music festivals.
